A. Naseem takes charge as the Idukki District Police Chief

A. Naseem on Thursday took charge as the Idukki District Police Chief.

A native of Karunagappally in Kollam district, Mr. Naseem joined the Kerala Police as a sub-inspector in 1995. He has served as a Circle Inspector and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DYSP) in the Kollam, Alappuzha, and Pathanamthitta districts. In 2021, he served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (admin) in Thiruvananthapuram city.

He most recently served as the SP of Marine Enforcement for the past three years. Additionally, he earned a PhD in Public Administration from Bharathiar University, focussing his research on custodial deaths in Kerala.
