A new ‘stage’ spotlights reintegration of Maoists in Chhattisgarh

A group of surrendered Naxals are among those participating in a month-long performance-oriented theatre workshop launched by the local administration of Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur, in collaboration with the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi.

Narayanpur Collector Namrata Jain said the workshop was designed for local tribal youth, members of self-help groups (SHGs), and surrendered Naxals, with a special focus on the last group as part of the district’s “ongoing rehabilitation and reintegration efforts”.
