The All Andhra Pradesh Government Class IV Employees Central Association (affiliated to A.P. JAC Amaravati) on Sunday (January 18) elected its new State executive body at a State-level council meeting held at Sri Srinivasa Bhavan in Guntur.

Y.S. Malleswara Rao was re-elected as State president for a third consecutive term, and T. Chennappa was unanimously chosen as State general secretary.

Addressing the meeting as chief guest, A.P. JAC Amaravati State chairperson Bopparaju Venkateswarlu said the JAC leadership has been striving to resolve the long-standing financial and non-financial issues of employees and has taken them to the notice of the government.

The formation of a Cabinet sub-committee and the meeting held by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu with employee unions on October 18, 2025, marked a positive beginning in addressing employee grievances.

He thanked the coalition government for sanctioning a ‘Dearness Allowance’ during Deepavali and for clearing arrears of nearly ₹1,000 crore ahead of Sankranti. However, he urged the government to immediately announce the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC), which has been delayed for two years already.

Mr. Venkateswarlu also appealed for priority clearance of pending arrears, especially those related to deceased employees, pensioners and medical reimbursement bills.

The election was conducted by G. Suresh, State general secretary of A.P. Cooperative Services Association, as election officer.

The new executive comprises 13 members, including body associate presidents, vice-presidents, secretaries, a treasurer and other office-bearers.
