Story and concept by Midhun Manuel Thomas

'Aadu 3' takes the quirky gang from the previous films into a wild multi-timeline fantasy comedy. The story unfolds across three parallel timelines – the past around 1790 AD, the present day, and a dystopian future in 2370 AD. Shaji Pappan and his team chase a mystical Star Dust stone while appearing in different avatars across timelines.

ETimes review for 'Aadu 3'

ETimes review for the film reads, "This time, Shaji Pappan and his team are on yet another chaotic chase, with a time-travel, multiple-timeline plot twist. In a film that opts for a non-linear narrative, the main cast appears in dual roles. Jayasurya plays the iconic Shaji Pappan as well as a local king, Padmanabha Thamburan. Vinayakan appears as Azam Khan in the second timeline, while others take on similarly important roles—Sunny Wayne, for instance, plays a British officer.

" It adds, "On the acting front, the entire main cast delivers. The team has also done complete justice to the 1700s timeline in terms of costumes, styling, and elaborate sets— forget historical accuracy, the art works. There is clearly a lot of effort put in, but there seems to be some misjudgment in understanding what might work for such a well-loved franchise."Jayasurya leads the film as Shaji Pappan in multiple avatars.

The ensemble cast includes Saiju Kurup, Vinayakan, Renji Panicker, Vijay Babu, Sunny Wayne, Dharmajan Bolgatty and others reprising their roles. New additions Alleya Bourne and Krishna Jeev also join the team. DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and the data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
