On September 13, former offensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ryan Harris, joined hosts of Sportsnet 590 The FAN, Ailish Forfar and Jesse Fuchs, to talk about the Ayahuasca retreat enthusiast, Aaron Rodgers, and his time playing for the Steelers and head coach Mike Tomlin.

Fuchs was shocked when Rodgers threw four touchdowns against his former team, the New York Jets, so he asked Harris—if there would be a repeat telecast of the mindblowing show of the 41-year-old quarterback in the upcoming game against the Seattle Seahawks or not.

Harris said it would certainly be–provided the veteran quarterback stays healthy. He also shared that Mike Tomlin believes in brutal honesty and that Rodgers is happy to hear about his bad plays in front of everybody.

Ryan Harris said that Aaron Rodgers is having the time of his life playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Mike Tomlin

On September 13, Jesse Fuchs, host of Sportsnet 590 The FAN, talked about Aaron Rodgers’ play against the New York Jets. He asked Ryan Harris if Rodgers would have a repeat performance against the Seattle Seahawks. During the broadcast on Canada’s #1 Radio Sports Station, Fuchs said, “Let’s talk about the NFL just being brilliant at scheduling…that Week 1 matchup was like the double revenge game of Justin Fields and Aaron Rodgers going against their old teams was fantastic for my money, it was outside of the (Buffalo)Bills game, which was nuts for 15 minutes….was the best matchup of the weekend.

I was shocked by what Aaron Rodgers did, and maybe again, I’m just falling victim to all the media reports and saying, you know, he must be cooked, he can’t do this, and then he goes out and throws four touchdowns! Does that continue from Aaron Rodgers, or was that just a one-week mirage?”Ryan Harris answered, “It continues provided he stays healthy. And I know from playing with Mike Tomlin and the (Pittsburgh)Steelers, I mean, Aaron Rodgers is having the time of his life right now playing.”

Super Bowl champion praised Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin for handling everything but a player’s job

The former Denver Broncos OT continued to talk about how Tomlin manages everything around the Steelers players except for the players’ jobs. “One of the things that Mike Tomlin does better than any coach I played for is he handles all the distractions; he handles everything but your job. He’s going to coach the defense, he’s going to coach the coaches, he’s gonna make sure everybody knows what to do.”

The former Steeler spilled the beans on what’s served on the plane before the matchup—sweet potatoes and kale

Harris told the radio station hosts that the Steelers do not consume fried food on the plane before a matchup. Instead, they are served sweet potatoes and kale—“They even serve sweet potatoes and kale and they will not give you fried food before you get on the plane.

I mean, it is like the healthiest place built for performance.”

Aaron Rodgers is happy to receive feedback on his bad plays from Mike Tomlin

The former offensive tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs shared that Mike Tomlin speaks about a bad play in front of the whole team, and Rodgers is happy with this approach because Harris feels Rodgers can play at a higher level. Harris explained: “And he(Mike Tomlin) also believes in brutal honesty. And so one of the things I learned playing there at Steelers is you better get used to–if you have a bad play, having coach Tomlin talk about it in front of the team and Aaron Rodgers, he’s happy to do that because he knows that can play at a high level.”
