Jayaram and Kalidas Jayaram's reunion in 'Aashakal Aayiram' has hit theaters, drawing positive initial responses. ‘Aashakal Aayiram’ starring the father son-duo Jayaram and Kalidas Jayaram, has finally hit the big screens today, February 6. The Malayalam film is helmed by G Prajith, known for his previous fillms 'Oru Vadakkan Selfie' and 'Sathyam Paranja Vishwasikkuvo'.
‘Aashakal Aayiram’ also marks Jayaram and his son Kalidas reunion 22 years after the release of their celebrated Malayalam film ‘Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum’. Though the father-son duo had teamed up for the Tamil film ‘Putham Pudhu Kaalai’, earlier Keralites were eagerly waiting to see them together in a fully fledged Malayalam film. The film has opened to packed theatres across Kerala, with many eagerly yearning to see the real-life father-son duo sharing screen-space.

“A fun filled feel good movie. Vintage Jayaramettan is back! Jayaram & Kalidas combo is freaking good.
Emotional sequences really worked very well, especially the climax sequence. Production quality is also good. I loved the movie,” a netizen said.
