The debate around YouTuber Technolarp has taken a more serious turn after he claimed that he was doxxed and that his family received threats. The creator has drawn attention online for making videos that closely copy the style of late Minecraft star Technoblade, including his voice, humor, Minecraft skin and content format.

While many Minecraft creators have criticized the channel, Technoblade’s father, known online as Technodad, made it clear that harassment is crossing a line. His comments came after Technolarp spoke about the backlash during a conversation with YouTuber MoistCr1TiKaL, whose real name is Charles White Jr.

Technolarp says doxxing and threats went beyond criticism of his videos

Technolarp has become one of the most talked-about figures in the Minecraft community in recent weeks. He has openly described himself as an intentional copy of Technoblade rather than a replacement, but that explanation has not eased concerns among many fans and creators.Several well-known Minecraft personalities, including Tubbo, Sneegsnag and Pikaclicks, have publicly criticized the project. Sneegsnag was among those who argued that the content felt like an imitation of a friend who is no longer alive. The controversy also drew comments from Hypixel co-founder Simon Collins-Laflamme.The discussion gained even more attention after MoistCr1TiKaL released a video about the growing trend.

Later, while speaking with Charles White Jr. during a livestream, Technolarp said the reaction had moved far beyond people simply disliking his videos.“I’ve been doxxed and my family has been threatened,” Technolarp said during the conversation. He also claimed that other creators involved in similar roleplay-style content had faced attacks as well.“I started this not thinking it would go big,” he added. His comments shifted the focus of the conversation from the content itself to concerns about the treatment of people involved in the controversy.

Technodad says threats against Technolarp and his family are “not ok”

Following Technolarp’s claims, the issue was discussed on Reddit, where one user expressed concern about reports of doxxing and threats.“The only thing that bothers me about the whole situation is the guy getting doxed and his family threatened,” the user wrote.Technodad responded directly.“Yeah that is absolutely not ok,” he replied.According to screenshots shared on Reddit, he also described the reported harassment as “messed up” in another discussion. However, Technodad’s response should not be seen as support for Technolarp’s channel. In earlier comments, he explained that he had been avoiding making a public judgment because he was still trying to decide how he felt about the situation. He revealed that Technolarp had contacted him multiple times to ask for his opinion. Despite those requests, Technodad said he had repeatedly delayed giving a final answer.“My response is: inconclusive,” he wrote.

“I’m still ruminating on the whole thing.”Those remarks show that Technodad has not publicly approved or rejected the content. At the same time, he has drawn a clear line when it comes to personal attacks. As debate over Technolarp’s videos continues across the Minecraft community, Technodad’s latest comments make one thing clear: disagreements over content should never lead to doxxing, threats or harassment directed at creators and their families.
