Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Thursday conducted surprise checks at various check-posts and offices of the Road Transport Authority (RTA) as well as Sub-Registrar Offices in different parts of the State.
Multiple teams of the ACB carried out searches at the Salabatpur RTA check post in Kamareddy district, RTA offices of Peddapalli, Trimulgherry and Uppal. Unaccounted amount of ₹1,81,030 was seized and several irregularities were observed, an ACB press release said.
ACB sleuths also conducted surprise checks at Sub-Registrar Offices in Burgampadu of the erstwhile Khammam district and Bheemdevarapalli of the erstwhile Warangal district.
The searches resulted in the seizure of an unaccounted amount of ₹91,000, revealing several irregularities. The ACB will send a detailed report to the government for necessary action, the release added.
