The ruling DMK president, M.K. Stalin, on Thursday called upon the party’s district secretaries to help achieve the target of enrolling 2.5 crore members in the party in 30 days.

“We have 30 days left. While numbers are important, we should also attach priority to conversing with the members of the household for at least 10 minutes during our public outreach programme,” he said while addressing the district secretaries meeting.

He said the objective of ‘Tamil Nadu under One Front’ – the public outreach programme – was to explain to every family the injustice caused to Tamil Nadu by the BJP-led Union government.

“We should also explain to them the achievements of the DMK government and the need to protect our language, land and pride,” he said.

Reiterating that the digital booth agents were an asset to the party, he said their service should be used beyond the 2026 Assembly election.

On his X page, Mr. Stalin had posted about the enrolment of an entire family, except the head of the family, as members of the DMK. “The membership should increase and they should represent the aspirations of Tamil Nadu,” he said.
