The farewell was deeply emotional and a bittersweet moment

Ganesh Chaturthi, a festival that brings immense joy and devotion, concluded with heartfelt goodbyes on Anant Chaturdashi. Actor Aditya Deshmukh, last seen in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, celebrated the 10-day festival with great enthusiasm and devotion.

On September 6, he bid farewell to his beloved Bappa, marking the grand conclusion of the festivities.Reflecting on the emotional farewell, Aditya shared, “The farewell to Lord Ganesha was deeply emotional and a bittersweet moment. It is understandable and justified. Bappa is a beloved deity who brings joy, wisdom, and blessings during Ganesh Chaturthi and is a symbol of removing obstacles. This emotional goodbye is a significant part of the festival, marked by traditions like Ganesh Visarjan. It is more like a ‘see-you-soon’ than a permanent separation, as we await his return next year.

Even after the idol is immersed, his grace and blessings remain with us.”He further explained the spiritual essence of the ritual, adding, “The ceremony of immersing the idol symbolizes Ganesha’s departure from our physical space but never from our hearts. We look forward to his return next year with even more blessings. The ritual strengthens our faith and devotion, reminding us of the cyclical nature of life. His blessings continue to guide us, providing strength, wisdom, and peace throughout the year.

Aditya also emphasized the importance of celebrating responsibly and protecting the environment during the festival. He stated, “While following the rituals, we must also be responsible towards Mother Nature. I always prefer eco-friendly, biodegradable idols made of clay and natural colors, avoiding Plaster of Paris (PoP). We also ensure immersions are done in artificial tanks or designated ponds instead of natural water bodies.

Even offerings like flowers and prasad are composted rather than polluting the water. Additionally, we avoid plastic, thermocol, and other non-biodegradable decorations that harm the environment.”On the professional front, Aditya has made a mark in the television industry with notable performances in shows like Ziddi Dil Maane Na, Punar Vivah, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, and Reporters. With his strong beliefs and inspiring message, he sets an example of devotion balanced with environmental responsibility.
