Adluri Laxman Kumar passport case: HC directs Minister to secure NOC from trial courts

The Telangana High Court directed Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar to approach the trial courts concerned, where criminal cases pending against him were being tried, to secure a No Objection Certificate and get his passport.

Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka of the HC said that the trial courts concerned should consider Mr. Laxman Kumar’s application and pass the orders expeditiously. The judge, disposing of the writ petition filed by the Minister stating that the authorities declined to issue the passport to him citing the pending criminal cases, directed the passport officials to consider renewing or re-issuing the passport to him once the Minister submits the NOC.
