Adnan Sami recalls Shah Rukh Khan taking him shopping during the Venice shoot with Kareena Kapoor, 'Brought me jackets...'

Adnan Sami, known for his expertise as a singer, composer, musician and pianist, has made significant contributions to both Indian and Western music in various languages. Recognized with the prestigious Padma Shri for his musical achievements, Adnan once shared that Shah Rukh Khan generously supplied him with clothes during a commercial shoot in Venice.The Story Behind the Hawaiian Shirt and Sami’s PhilosophyWhile chatting with Bollywood Bubbles, Adnan shared a humorous memory upon seeing a photo of himself in a Hawaiian shirt alongside Shah Rukh and Kareena Kapoor. He explained that the picture was from a commercial and revealed a personal style philosophy connected to those vibrant shirts. Despite his wife’s dislike for such outfits, he stood firm on his belief: “Don’t ever be apologetic for who you are.”

Adnan reflected on embracing his body and making a statement, saying, “I was fat, and I said I was going to make a big noise about it. So I was like, I will wear all of these colourful shades of shirts, and I will put it in your face.

” When people asked about his size, he would cheerfully respond, “Main khaata bahut hoon aur mujhe bada mazaa ata hai. I eat and I enjoy it.”Unexpected Weather Changes During the ShootDuring the Venice shoot, Sami explained the circumstances that led to Shah Rukh taking him shopping for clothes.

Initially, it was summer, and Sami was accustomed to wearing Hawaiian shirts. However, while preparing for the commercial, the weather in Venice abruptly shifted. Everyone had arrived with summer clothes, but Venice was suddenly hit by a massive cold spell. This unexpected change brought rain, a significant drop in temperatures, and strong winds, leaving the team unprepared for the chilly conditions.Shah Rukh Khan’s Thoughtful GestureConcluding, Adnan said, “So I brought only Hawaiian outfits with bermudas. And SRK was also producing the ADs. When he saw me, he said, ‘You’re gonna catch a cold.’ I was travelling for almost a day and a half and ready to crash. He asked me if I had something warm, and I was like ‘No’. I was feeling very jet-lagged and everything, so I went and dozed off. He was so sweet, he went and brought me jackets and shopped for me." Sami appreciated this thoughtful gesture, expressing his gratitude for SRK’s sweetness and effort in finding clothes that suited him.
