Lucknow: Top achievers, including Mohammad Affan, Soumya Mishra and Akashi Yadav, will be honoured with prestigious medals at the 11th convocation of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University on July 8.Affan will receive the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Medal after securing top positions in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Arabic department. Mishra will be conferred the Chancellor’s Medal for topping the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Biotechnology Engineering department. Yadav will be awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Medal for securing second position at the undergraduate level; she is also the topper of the Faculty of Science and BSc Biotechnology.Vice-chancellor Ajay Taneja said 125 medals will be awarded to 110 meritorious students, including 54 gold, 37 silver and 34 bronze. Three students will receive three medals each, while nine students will receive two medals each.Taneja added that the examination committee approved 1,246 degrees, including 1,236 undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and 10 PhD degrees.Chancellor Anandiben Patel will present medals to 25 selected students during the ceremony.
University gets approval for 60 additional seats for BA LLBKhwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University will now offer 60 additional seats in the BA LLB course. The university received the necessary approval for the additional seat from the Bar Council of India, officials said on Thursday.
