After 26 years, Anupam Kher unveils his next Bengali production

The press conference of the upcoming film Shuru Theke Shuru, directed by Shhamik Banerjee, turned into a memorable event on Friday, as veteran actor Anupam Kher marked his return to Bengali cinema as a producer after 26 years.

The film stars Rahul Bose, Paoli, and Tota Roy Chowdhury in lead roles. Speaking at the event, Kher expressed his excitement and said, "This is a very revolutionary day for me, and I feel wonderful collaborating with such talented people on such a beautiful script." West Bengal finance minister Dr Swapan Dasgupta, who was present at the event, said, "I've known Anupam for a long time, and I'm very happy to be here supporting my friend and the Bengali film industry on this special day."

Also present was actress-politician Roopa Ganguly. “Just like the name of the film, we are also trying to mark a new start for Bengali films,” she said.

Jeet Gannguli, who is the music composer of the film, said, "Roopa di is a lovely singer and she should sing more often.” To this Kher added, “I want Roopa to act in my next film, as she is a lovely actress.”The entire cast and crew then took to the stage to share their experiences.

Describing the film, the actors called it a relatable, heartwarming, and emotionally moving love story.

Speaking about the film, which marks his directorial debut, Shamik revealed that he had first narrated the idea of Shuru Theke Shuru to Anupam Kher several years ago. Instead of rushing into production, Kher encouraged him to keep refining the script until it was ready to become a film. "He told me that if something is going wrong in your life, be patient because it means something good is on its way," he said, while expressing his gratitude to Kher and everyone associated with the film for believing in his vision.The event concluded with the entire cast, crew, and their family members cutting a cake to mark not just the launch of Shuru Theke Shuru but also the beginning of an exciting new journey for everyone involved.I met CM Suvendu Adhikari this morning and he told me he is with us.
