Dhanush's upcoming Tamil film 'Kara' is generating buzz with its "Faces of Kara" campaign. Following Mamitha Baiju's reveal, National Award winner Suraj Venjaramoodu joins the cast as a disciplined police officer. Expectations are soaring for Dhanush’s upcoming Tamil film 'Kara,' as director Vignesh Raja, of 'Por Thozhil' fame unveils a star-studded ensemble through the "Faces of Kara" campaign. Following the reveal of Mamitha Baiju as Selli, who is rooted and anxious, the makers have now dropped the first look of National Award-winning actor Suraj Venjaramoodu as Bharathan, a disciplined police officer.
First look at Suraj Venjaramoodu
Earlier, like they released Mamitha Baiju’s poster, the production house took to their social media handle and wrote, "BHARATHAN… on duty. Next drop today at 5 PM. #FacesOfKara. #KaraFromApril30." This update made fans curious as they shared their excitement about the release in the comments.The title Kara was announced during Pongal. A poster of Dhanush was also released. He looked intense and serious. The poster had the line, "Sometimes, staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive."The makers also shared a still of Dhanush from the shoot, where he was seen talking in an STD booth. This gave a small idea about the film’s mood.
About ‘Kara’
Director Vignesh Raja had earlier said, "D54 is Kara. An emotionally rooted suspense thriller. We are coming this summer." The film was first called D54. Now it has a proper title.The story is written by Vignesh Raja and Alfred Prakash. They both worked together earlier on the film ‘Por Thozhil,’ which many people loved.
The writers believe working together helps them test ideas and improve the story.
Cast of ‘Kara’
The film has many known actors. Along with Dhanush and Mamitha Baiju, it also stars K. S. Ravikumar, Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunas and Prithvi Pandiraj. The cinematography is by Theni Eswar. Editing is handled by Sreejith Sarang. Music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. ‘Kara’ will release in theatres worldwide on April 30 this year.
