Jaipur: The Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), along with the Jaipur Police Commissionerate, conducted coordinated raids across the city early Thursday, detaining several suspected associates of gangsters during searches at more than 20 locations as part of a major crackdown on organised crime. The pre-dawn operation began around 5 am after intelligence inputs gathered over the past several months indicated that members of different gangster syndicates were attempting to establish their networks in Jaipur. Acting on a prepared list of suspects, ATS-AGTF teams simultaneously raided multiple premises across the city and took several suspects into custody for questioning. At the same time, the area domination exercise was carried out under the supervision of Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal and Special Commissioner Om Prakash, with the participation of Quick Response Teams (QRT), District Special Teams (DST), Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) personnel and district police units led by Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs).Raids were conducted at seven locations in Khorabisal, five in Jhotwara, three in Karni Vihar, two in Vaishali Nagar, and one each in Kardhani, Murlipura, Bindayaka, Malpura Gate, Kotwali, Amer and Sodala.Police simultaneously carried out verification of history-sheeters, hardcore criminals and suspected gang members, checked suspicious persons and vehicles, raided suspected hideouts, and intensified patrolling in sensitive and crowded areas.
