The exodus from the AIADMK gathered pace on Tuesday as former Transport Minister MR Vijayabaskar resigned from the Tamil Nadu Assembly, with both he and former Health Minister C Vijayabhaskar set to join the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) on Thursday.
This will take the number of former AIADMK MLAs who have switched to TVK to six, further eroding the Opposition party’s strength in the Assembly.
