Nick Kyrgios, the controversial Australian tennis star, has again stirred the pot with his big claim on Carlos Alcaraz while explaining why he feels that Italian Jannik Sinner will have a better career than the Spaniard. During a conversation with French tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou, Kyrgios cited Alcaraz’s lifestyle as the major reason why he rates Sinner higher.

“Who do you think’s gonna have a better career, Alcaraz or Sinner? I’ll tell you mine first. I’ll say Sinner, because Alcaraz loves girls," said Kyrgios on the latest episode of Ultimate Tennis Showdown. “He (Alcaraz) might get distracted, he might party too much. That’s my only thing, whereas Sinner will stay a bit locked in, I think."

The 22-year-old Alcaraz has already won five Grand Slam titles – two French Open, two Wimbledon and one US Open – having recently beaten Sinner in a five-set epic to win Wimbledon Championship.

On the other hand, Sinner, aged 23, has won three major titles including two titles at Australian Open and the last year’s US Open.

What Alcaraz Said In Response To Kyrgios’s Claim

Alcaraz saw the funny side to Kyrgios’s comment.

“They’re funny comments, which coming from him, don’t surprise me," Alcaraz said. “It’s no secret that Jannik always has fewer ups and downs than me. It’s something I’ve been working on. It has nothing to do with the nightlife world."

“His game is suited to the grass with his big serve, and he came in to the net as much as he can. I’m really pleased with everything I fought for but it was stressful. I was suffering in many service games – love 30, break points down. He was pushing me whenever he could. It was tough to survive. I was happy to get that break at the end," he added.

Kyrgios’s comments have come after Alcaraz’s trip to Ibiza where he was vacationing with his friends following the French Open triumph.
