Amateur MMA tournament to bring India, Nepal fighters together in Kolkata

Amateur mixed martial arts fighters from India and Nepal will compete in a tournament at the Biswa Bangla Exhibition Centre in New Town on June 27, with 52 bouts scheduled through the day, including a 12-fight international main card in the evening.The main event will feature India's Aks Pandey against Karan Kumar Mahto, while Nepal's Sunil Punn will take on India's Devgan Marandi in the co-main event.The tournament, in its second edition, follows its inaugural event held in Bengaluru earlier this year. Organisers said the competition aims to provide a platform for emerging amateur fighters to gain competitive experience and exposure.Weigh-ins and face-offs are scheduled for June 26 ahead of the event.
