American Rapper Quavo thinks NFL players wear ‘fake’ jewelry

A Complex Sports reporter asked American rapper and singer-songwriter Quavo, “Who do you think has better jewelry, NFL players or rappers?” The ‘Intentions’ singer replied, “Rappers, ‘cause some of their jewelry, I don’t think it be real.

We take a lot of risk, you know what I’m saying? And wear our real jewelry out in public, I don’t think it be real.”Complex Sports shared a video clip of this interview on their Instagram and captioned it: “NFL players need to tap in real quick, who got fake jewelry?” One IG user responded, “Is he crazy? No one wears more fake jewelry than rappers….Gucci man exposed yall already said yall was wearing fake jewelry when yall first was rapping.”Another reiterated, “A rapper ain’t making NFL money period. Jalen Hurts wore a massive diamond chain designed by Gabriel French

In November 2022, renowned celebrity jeweler Gabriel French(known as Gabriel The Jeweler) designed a custom-designed, colossal 'Breed of One' diamond-studded chain for Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts.

The jeweler shared snapshots of the same on his Instagram. He captioned it: “@jalenhurts #breedofone do I hear #mvp @philadelphiaeagles.” Now, in January 2025, two weeks before winning Super Bowl LIX, the Eagles QB made a breathtaking press conference appearance.

Why breathtaking? His shimmering diamond-encrusted chain made internet waves that are still echoing in cyberspace.

Complex Sports shared a clip of Hurts from the press conference, along with a snapshot of the lustrous chain.

They captioned it: “The diamonds are really dancing on Jalen Hurts’ massive chain. The chain was designed by Gabriel The Jeweler in 2022.” Another X account shared a clip of Hurts where he’s telling reporters, “So that’s what y’all wanted to see, huh?”–Hurts had gotten up to show his majestic chain at the press meet. The X account captioned it: “Jalen Hurts chain puts any rappers chain to shame. #FlyEaglesFly #Eagles”One X user commented, “The type of chain that makes other people tuck their in.” A second user wrote, “I mean he’s A LOT richer than pretty much every rapper.” A third fan chimed in, “Go win a championship.
