Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday visited the Bobia Border Out Post in Jammu and Kashmir along the India-Pakistan border and said India’s security forces continue to display the highest levels of sacrifice, dedication and valour in keeping the country secure.

In a post on X, Shah said that seeing the spirit of the soldiers stationed there filled him with pride.

pic.twitter.com/AxQAO5LzWv— Amit Shah (@AmitShah) February 6, 2026

The Home Minister also joined the jawans for ‘bada khana’ at the Bobiya Border Out Post located on the India-Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir.

“The ‘bada khana’ of the security forces is such a tradition of eating together that it strengthens the spirit of camaraderie among the jawans and binds them together with the thread of shared emotions like a family," he wrote on X, while sharing some photos.

pic.twitter.com/jQfrFBQSEP— Amit Shah (@AmitShah) February 6, 2026

He also chaired a security review meeting in Jammu with Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi and senior officials from the security establishment in attendance, to assess the prevailing security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

The meeting gains significance amid intensified anti-terror operations in which four Pakistan-based terrorists linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) were neutralised after nearly a dozen encounters in Kathua, Udhampur and Kishtwar districts of the Jammu region over the past two weeks.

In a month, this is the second security review meeting chaired by Shah. On January 8, Shah chaired a high-level review meeting on Jammu and Kashmir security in Delhi, and directed continuation of counter-terror operations targeting terror infrastructure and financing in “mission mode".

He also said that all resources would be mobilised to achieve the goal of a “terror-free" Jammu and Kashmir at the earliest.

Besides the Army chief, Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding Jammu-based White Knight Corps Lt Gen P K Mishra, Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka, Border Security Force (BSF) Director General Praveen Kumar, Central Reserve Police Force DG G P Singh, and other senior military, police, civil and intelligence officers attended the meeting at the Lok Bhavan, officials said.
