Two rings. One season.Amon-Ra St. Brown is still chasing a Super Bowl ring in 2026, and now he has another one in mind. On July 8, the Detroit Lions wide receiver and Brooklyn Adams announced their engagement on Instagram with a series of photos from the proposal, captioned simply: "Hard launch."St. Brown got down on one knee on a boat, surrounded by white florals and a matching white outfit on Adams. The post drew congratulations from Jared Goff, Caleb Williams, Drake London, Keenan Allen, Taylor Lautner, and Haley Cavinder, among others. Nicole Madisyn, girlfriend of Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs, commented "FIANCEEEE" with three ring emojis. Goff posted a teary-eyed smiley. Williams simply wrote "wow."The internet reacted. But this has been a decade in the making.

Sophomore year at Servite High School in Anaheim, Calif. | Where it all started
St. Brown and Adams met during their sophomore year at Servite High School in Anaheim, California, where they were paired together for an assignment in English class. They became friends first, then started dating by the end of that school year. Ten years later, they're engaged.
College years and the long-distance relationship that held
After high school, the two went their separate ways academically. St. Brown headed to USC, eventually declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft.
Adams pursued nursing school in Orange County, Calif. The miles stacked up, but the relationship didn't break. When St. Brown was drafted to Detroit, their relationship became long-distance, but Adams tried to attend as many games as she could.
2023: Brooklyn Adams stands by St. Brown through a rough NFL season
Adams was a visible and supportive presence during St. Brown's health battles in 2023. She appeared throughout Netflix's "Receiver" documentary, which filmed during the 2023 NFL season, alongside St.
Brown's parents on the sidelines and in the stands at Lions games.
July 2024: Netflix's 'Receiver' puts Brooklyn Adams in the spotlight
The world got to know Adams in July 2024 through Netflix's "Receiver," which followed the lives of some of the NFL's best wide receivers. At the time of filming, she was still in nursing school and in a long-distance relationship with St. Brown.
August 2024: Adams graduates nursing school, they buy a home in Michigan
Adams graduated from nursing school in August 2024, and soon after, the couple bought a house in Michigan together, ending the long-distance chapter of their relationship for good. Adams told People: "We bought a house and were both ready to start our lives together. He was so focused on football. I was so focused on nursing school that we put so much on hold in our relationship, and finally wanted to do something together."
2025: The St. Brown Foundation and a new chapter off the field
Adams became the lead of the St. Brown Foundation, which focuses on youth literacy initiatives in Michigan. She told People: "It's a focus on literacy, to help get their literacy rates up, because literacy in the United States, but specifically in Michigan, is really low. We started this foundation with the mindset that Amon-Ra and I always had great opportunities in education." According to the New York Post, Adams co-founded the foundation alongside St. Brown and his brothers, Equanimeous and Osiris, in 2025.
Feb. 2026: St. Brown opens up about the relationship ahead of the Super Bowl
Speaking to People's Janine Rubenstein ahead of the 2026 Super Bowl, St. Brown reflected on what nearly a decade together actually looks like. "People either fall in love or they don't," he said. "Obviously, you get to choose what you show everyone. But no, it's been amazing having my girl by my side."

St. Brown enters 2026 as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, a four-time Pro Bowler, two-time first-team All-Pro, and coming off his fourth straight season with more than 1,100 receiving yards.
The Lions open the 2026 season on Sept. 13 against the New Orleans Saints.He's also, as of Tuesday, a fiancé."I'm living the dream, you know?
