Amrit Bharat Express trains launch: Kerala is set to get three new Amrit Bharat Express trains this week. These new trains will further improve inter-state connectivity and support regional mobility. The Amrit Bharat Express trains have been introduced to provide safe and reliable long distance travel for the common passenger at an affordable fare.
Kerala Amrit Bharat Express route
All the three Amrit Bharat rakes have reached Thiruvananthapuram. These new trains will be operated and maintained by the Southern Railway (SR) zone. These new Amrit Bharat Express trains will run on following routes:
- Thiruvananthapuram Central-Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express
- Thiruvananthapuram North-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express
- Nagercoil Jn-Mangaluru Jn Amrit Bharat Express
Thiruvananthapuram Central–Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express: Stoppages
The train number 16122/16121 Thiruvananthapuram Central-Tambaram-Thiruvananthapuram Central Amrit Bharat Express will enhance inter-state mobility between Kerala and Tamil Nadu. During its journey, the train will halt at 15 stations. These are: Kulitturai, Nagercoil Town, Valliyur, Tirunelveli, Satur, Kovilpatti, Virudunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Srirangam, Ariyalur, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram and Chengalpattu.
Thiruvananthapuram North-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express: Stoppages
The train number 17042/17041 Thiruvananthapuram North-Charlapalli-Thiruvananthapuram North Amrit Bharat Express will improve connectivity between Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. During its journey, the train will halt at 29 stations. These are: Varkala Shivagiri, Kollam, Karunagappalli, Kayamkulam, Mavelikara, Chenhannur, Tiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tirppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Tiruttani, Renigunta, Nellore, Ongole, Bapatla, Tenali, Guntur, Sattenapalle, Miryalaguda and Nalgonda.
Nagercoil Jn-Mangaluru Jn Amrit Bharat Express: Stoppages
The train number 16329/16330 Nagercoil Jn–Mangaluru Jn Amrit Bharat Express will connect Tamil Nadu with coastal Karnataka through Kerala, strengthening west coast rail connectivity. During its journey, the train will stop at 20 stations. These are: Kasaragod, Kannur, Thalassery, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayamkulam, Karunagappalli, Kollam, Sivagiri, Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram Central.
