Actor Ravi Mohan has officially started his first film as a director. The film is titled 'An Ordinary Man' and stars Yogi Babu in the lead role. The project is produced under the actor-director's own banner.

Now, the team began shooting with a traditional pooja ceremony. Photos from the event were shared by the production house on social media and soon went viral among fans.

After the ceremony, Yogi Babu shared the update with fans on social media.

The actor kept the message simple and emotional as he spoke about the start of the film. He wrote, "An Ordinary Man begins. Shoot starts today with Pooja for my hero Ravi Mohan sir's first movie, debut directorial." Fans congratulated the team and wished success for the project. The collaboration between Ravi Mohan and Yogi Babu has also created excitement, as the two share a friendly bond that goes back several years in the industry.

A promise made years ago

The idea for 'An Ordinary Man' actually started many years ago. During the launch of Ravi Mohan Studios at the Chennai Trade Centre last year, Ravi Mohan announced plans to produce several films and direct one himself. At the event, Yogi Babu shared an interesting memory. He said the two had spoken about doing a film together while working on 'Comali.' Many people forget such plans over time, but Ravi Mohan remembered his promise even after six years.

He later decided to make it happen with ;An Ordinary Man,' giving Yogi Babu the lead role.

The makers have not yet revealed the story, genre, or full cast of the film. It is also unclear whether Ravi Mohan will act in the movie. However, the team tagging Kenishaa Francis in the announcement hints that she may contribute as a singer. The film is the second project from Ravi Mohan's production after 'Bro Code,' which is still under production. Ravi Mohan was recently seen playing the antagonist in Sudha Kongara’s 'Parasakthi' alongside Sivakarthikeyan, where his performance received praise.

Apart from this directorial debut, he also has films like 'Genie,' 'Bro Code,' and 'Karathey Babu' in his upcoming lineup.
