Anant Ambani Visits Tirumala Temple, Announces Donation Of 25 Electric Buses For Tirupati Devasthanams

Anant Ambani visited Tirumala temple, performed tonsure as part of his pilgrimage, and announced Reliance's donation of 25 electric buses for TTD.

Reliance Industries Executive Director Anant Ambani offered prayers at the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple on Sunday, where he participated in the early morning Suprabhata Seva and had darshan of the deity.

As part of his pilgrimage, he also offered his hair (tonsure) to Lord Venkateswara.

Following the darshan, Vedic scholars blessed him with Veda Ashirvachanam at the Ranganayakula Mandapam inside the temple.

Temple authorities presented him with Srivari Theertha Prasadam and honoured him with a ceremonial silk shawl.

On the occasion, Anant Ambani announced that Reliance Industries would donate 25 electric buses worth around Rs 27.5 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

He also said the company would bear the salaries and benefits of 50 drivers required to operate the buses and expressed willingness to support the establishment of EV charging stations in Tirumala to facilitate the operation of the electric bus fleet.

Earlier this week, Anant Ambani visited the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur, where he met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

According to news agency PTI, the visit was a courtesy call.

Ambani also visited the Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir premises in Reshimbagh, the memorial of RSS founder Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, which also serves as the final resting place of his successor, MS Golwalkar.
