'Jama' fame Pari Elavazhagan's next promises a heartwarming family entertainer

After earning praise for 'Jama,' filmmaker-actor Pari Elavazhagan is back with his second outing, 'Anbe Diana.' This time, he not only directs the film but also plays the lead role. Ramya Ranganathan, who was recently seen in 'Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam,' stars as the female lead.

The film also features Roja Selvamani, Chetan, Parithabangal Gopi, and several others in important roles. Set against the backdrop of Chennai's Perambur, the romantic family drama, with music composed by Bharath Shankar, is gearing up for its theatrical release on July 17.

'Anbe Diana' trailer hints at an emotional interfaith love story

The makers have now unveiled the official trailer, giving audiences a glimpse of a heartfelt love story packed with romance, humour and emotions. The trailer revolves around a young Hindu man and an Anglo-Indian Christian woman who fall in love despite their families' strong opposition.

Rather than outrightly opposing the union, both parties are determined that one of the two partners must convert to their respective religions before proceeding to marriage.

As tension mounts, this trailer demonstrates how the two are able to go through the customs associated with both religions.

Powerful dialogues and a creative trailer cut grab attention

The trailer has already created a buzz for its powerful dialogues and different presentation. Powerful exchanges such as, “The girl isn’t from our caste?” or, “Religion is on the outside.

The girl is not.” Another interesting thing is the trailer's editing style. This is an ingenious way of linking the scenes with days of the week, making it unique and interesting. The movie will also bring in lots of fun in addition to all the emotions.

Parithabangal Gopi makes an interesting character in the movie.

'Anbe Diana' set for July 17 release

The combination of romance, family dramas and social issues presented in 'Anbe Diana' has created an optimistic atmosphere for the coming release of the film. The movie seems to be touching some sensitive issues like religion, family values, and acceptance. The production house has delivered hits like ‘Good Night,’ ‘Lover,' and ‘Tourist Family,’ and is hoping to keep the streak going with this release. Based on the trailer, 'Anbe Diana' will be a rollercoaster of emotions and fun when it hits theatres on July 17.
