The Special Investigation Team (SIT) police, which has arrested 12 accused in the alleged Andhra Pradesh liquor scam so far, seized ₹11 crore from a farmhouse in Rangareddy district, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, in the early hours of Wednesday (July 30, 2025).
Acting on a tip-off, the SIT officials conducted the raid on the farmhouse, located at Kacharam village, Shamshabad mandal in Rangareddy district.
One of the accused in the liquor scam, who was taken into police custody after they obtained a non-bailable warrant (NBW) from the ACB Special Court, had revealed information on the cash dump while being questioned.
“We have seized ₹11 crore packed in 12 cartons and concealed in the farmhouse. The cash would be produced in court,” a police officer probing the liquor case told The Hindu.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Sulochana Farmhouse was owned by T. Vijayender Reddy, who was the director of a private hospital in Hyderabad.
“We are trying to find out whether the accused concealed money related to the liquor scam in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana or any other State,” a SIT official said, adding that more raids were planned in multiple locations at Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
