Andhra Pradesh govt. approves construction of nine CHCs worth ₹51.75 crore

The government has accorded administrative sanction for the construction of nine Community Health Centres (CHCs) in nine districts, funded through a 15th Finance Commission grant of ₹5.75 crore each, totaling ₹51.75 crore, according to G.O. RT No.551 issued by Special Chief Secretary (Health, Medical & Family Welfare) M.T. Krishna Babu.

The CHCs will be constructed at Amadalavasala in Srikakulam; Chodavaram in Visakhapatnam, with an additional floor and amenities; Kankipadu in Krishna, with an additional building to accommodate wards and provide extra facilities; Ponnuru in Guntur, with a new building block; Kanigiri in Prakasam, with an additional ward block to house dialysis units; Udayagiri in Nellore, with a separate building block for the labour and delivery complex replacing the old structure; Pathikonda in Kurnool, with a new building block for diagnostic services, operation theatre, and related facilities; Chennur in Kadapa, with additional blocks for labs, OP rooms, OT complex, pharmacy, and other facilities; and Kalyanadurg in Anantapur, with an additional building.
