Andhra Pradesh’s former Deputy Chief Minister and former Excise Minister K. Narayana Swamy did not appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which was investigating into the alleged liquor scam.
SIT served notice to Narayana Swamy to appear before the investigation officers on July 21, as part of investigation of the case.

The former Deputy Chief Minister reportedly communicated to the SIT officials that he could not attend due to health problems.
In a related development, Rajampet MP, P.V. Midhun Reddy, who was in judicial remand in Rajamahendravaram Central Prison in the case, filed a petition in the court on Monday, seeking television and other amenities in his room.
