Minister for Animal Husbandry J. Chinchurani will launch e-Samrudha, a digital livestock and e-health management system of the State Animal Husbandry Department, in Adoor on Saturday (August 30, 2025).
The ₹7.5-crore project is part of the department’s efforts to go fully digital with its services. The project was piloted successfully in Pathanamthitta district. The services of the e-platform will now be extended throughout the State, the department said.
E-Samrudha envisions integrating services related to livestock management and veterinary services in the State on a single platform. These include services related to animal health information management, online booking facility for OP consultation, mobile apps for farmers and department officials, laboratory management system for labs under the department and breeding management. The department is launching the project with the support of the Digital University Kerala.
The project will be operational across 130 veterinary establishments including multi-speciality hospitals.
