NDA leaders and activists took out a rally in Payakaraopeta constituency on Friday, marking the completion of two years of the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh.

Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, who participated in the rally, addressed the victory meeting and also visited various stalls showcasing development and welfare initiatives set up for the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Anitha said that development works worth approximately ₹650 crore have been undertaken in the Payakaraopeta constituency over the past two years.

Hitting out at the previous YSRCP government, she alleged they had neglected the construction of the Panduru bridge and assured that it would be inaugurated soon.

She added that a retaining wall is being constructed in Somidepalli village at a cost of ₹9 crore, and a ₹3 crore worth road is being built to a tribal village of Anuku. She also affirmed that efforts are underway to fulfil the election promise of providing 20,000 jobs to the constituency’s youth.

Heaping praise on IT Minister Nara Lokesh’s efforts behind laying the foundation of the ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AM/NS) Plant, she said that the industry is becoming a reality thanks to the sacrifices made by farmers.

She also stated that measures are being taken to develop the Upamaka Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple and that development works for the Upamaka tank are proceeding using CSR funds.
