Panaji: State govt on Friday appointed 2018 batch IAS officer Ankit Yadav
as the North Goa collector. Yadav replaced Yashaswini B, who has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh.Meanwhile, revenue secretary Sandip Jacques was appointed as the chief executive officer and managing director of Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL). Jacques replaced Sanjit Rodrigues, who was recently transferred to Ladakh by the Union ministry of home affairs (MHA).The transfer orders for Yadav and Jacques were issued by the department of personnel with instructions that the appointments were with immediate effect.
The MHA transferred Rodrigues in Sep last year, but state govt refused to relieve him as several infrastructure projects were yet to be completed.Jacques, who also heads the state disaster management authority, has his task cut out as the CEO of IPSCDL. The deadline for completion of the smart city mission projects lapsed in March, but several projects remain incomplete.Dnyaneshwar Y Salelkar, additional chief engineer, irrigation project, water resources department (WRD), has been given the additional charge of chief engineer. The appointment has been made on the retirement of Pramod Badami.
