The Janata Dal (Secular), which is learnt to be upset with its alliance partner the Bharatiya Janata Party for announcing its candidates to three Legislative Council seats ‘unilaterally’, is expected to hold talks with the saffron party after the first week of May.

The latest hitch in the alliance has come amid confusion over the BJP and the JD(S) fighting the still-to-be-announced local body polls together.
