Anthropic’s Claude AI pricing for India revealed: Here’s how much you have to pay for Claude Pro, Claude Max and Team subscription

Anthropic has started rolling out Indian rupee pricing for its Claude AI models, making subscriptions easier for users in its biggest market outside the United States. The new pricing has started appearing for some users on Claude's website and mobile apps.

The move comes as global AI companies increasingly tailor their services for India's fast-growing AI market, where developers, businesses and students are driving demand for generative AI tools. Anthropic says India accounts for 5.8% of global Claude usage, making it the company's second-largest market after the U.S.

Anthropic Claude India pricing: Claude Pro, Max and Team plans cost

As mentioned before, India pricing has started appearing for some users on Claude's website and mobile apps.

On its website, Anthropic has listed Claude Pro at Rs 2,000 per month when billed annually, compared with $17 per month in the U.S. The Claude Max plan starts at ₹11,999 per month in India, versus $100 per month in the U.S. The Team plan, on the other hand, starts at ₹2,399 per seat per month. However, Anthropic has not yet enabled payments through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), India's popular digital payment system.

Users can currently pay using credit or debit cards or through Apple's and Google's app store billing systems.The rollout comes as Anthropic expands its presence in India. The company opened an office in Bengaluru earlier this year and appointed former Microsoft India Managing Director Irina Ghose to lead its India business. It has also partnered with Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services to expand enterprise AI deployments in the country.

Claude Fable 5 free offer extended till July 19

In another news, Anthropic has extended the Claude Fable 5 promotional offer once again. Previously scheduled to end on July 12, the company has now announced that the free access to Claude Fable 5 is now available till July 19, 2026. Additionally, the company said that during the promotional period, users can use up to 50% of weekly subscription limits on Claude Fable 5 at no extra cost. “We’ve extended this promotion through July 19, 2026 at 11:59:59 PM PT.

The 50% increase to Claude Code weekly usage limits has also been extended through the same date,” the company said in a support document. The Claude Fable 5 free access is available on Pro, Max, Team, and premium seats on seat-based Enterprise plans.
