'Anupamaa' written update, 24th March: Anupama gets promoted as Vasundhara's shocking words leave Mahi shattered

'Anupamaa' opens late at night with Anupama exhausted from work, barely able to keep her eyes open, when she notices a missed call from Mahi. She calls back immediately. Mahi tries to hold herself together, telling Anupama she just missed her and cut the call quickly after.

Anupama is not entirely convinced but lets it go, though the doubt stays with her. When she calls Rahi to check in and mentions Mahi's late night call, Rahi and Prem make excuses. All three of them are hiding something from each other, and all three of them sense it. Anupama tells herself her children must not find out about her situation, while Prem and Rahi tell each other that Anupama is clearly concealing something too.

The mutual protectiveness is quietly heartbreaking.

Mahi breaks her silence

The reason for Mahi's late night call becomes devastatingly clear when she announces to the Kothari family that she is leaving the house. Gautam immediately says she cannot. The family presses her for an explanation and Mahi reveals the affair. Vasundhara refuses to believe it, but Rahi backs Mahi up, and Prerna confirms she has seen Gautam with another girl herself.

Gautam does not deny the affair outright but instead pivots, bringing up Prem and Prerna, trying to muddy the waters.

Rossi's schemes backfire spectacularly

At the hotel, Rossi tells Paul she has been making Anupama's life difficult, only to turn around and find Anupama standing right behind her. Anupama tells Rossi calmly that she has faced far tougher situations than this and is not going anywhere. The two are then called to see the manager together. The manager tells Anupama that the hotel has received multiple complaints against Rossi and, noting how well Anupama has handled herself, asks her to take on a supervisory role over the other staff.

Ranvijay wants to sell Saavi Villa

In a development that catches Anupama off guard, she learns that Ranvijay wants to sell Saavi Villa. Digvijay, hearing this, confronts his son with barely contained anger.
