Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) vice-president Kolanukonda Shivaji on Thursday (April 16, 2026), raised concern over the proposed Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026 and the Delimitation Bill, 2026, introduced in Parliament.

“The Central government appears to be using the redistricting of constituencies for political gain to increase the number of constituencies in areas where the ruling party is strong. This raises serious doubts about the impartiality of the democratic system,” Mr. Shivaji said at a press conference held at the party office, Andhra Ratna Bhavan.
