AP SET 2026 registration ends in two days
The registration process for Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (AP SET) 2026 will close in two days. Eligible candidates must submit their application forms by February 9, 2026.
The exam is conducted to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor and Lecturer posts in universities and colleges across Andhra Pradesh. The application process is being held online on the official AP SET website. Candidates who have not yet applied are advised to complete the process at the earliest to avoid last-minute technical issues. The AP SET 2026 examination will be conducted on March 28 and 29, 2026, in different centres across the state.
Eligibility criteria and application fee
Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant subject. General category candidates must have secured at least 55% marks. SC, ST, BC, PwD and transgender candidates must have at least 50% marks. There is no upper age limit to apply for AP SET.The application fee for General category candidates is Rs 1,600. BC and EWS candidates must pay Rs 1,300. SC, ST, PwD and transgender candidates need to pay Rs 900.
The fee must be paid online through debit card, credit card or net banking.
Steps to apply for AP SET 2026
Candidates must visit the official AP SET website and complete the registration process. After registration, they need to fill in personal details, educational qualifications and subject preference. Applicants must upload scanned copies of required documents and photographs in the prescribed format. After paying the application fee, candidates should download the confirmation page and keep a copy for future use.

Exam pattern and important dates
AP SET 2026 will consist of two papers. Paper I will be common for all candidates and will test teaching and research aptitude. It will carry 100 marks. Paper II will be subject-specific and will carry 200 marks. Both papers will include multiple-choice questions.The hall tickets are expected to be released from March 19, 2026. Candidates should regularly check the official website for updates regarding admit cards and examination instructions.
