New Delhi: Apple’s upcoming flagship, iPhone 18 Pro Max, is expected to arrive soon in September 2026, and several early leaks indicate that buyers might have to pay more than they did for the current generation model. Some reports also suggested that the phone might be priced between Rs 1,49,900 and Rs 1,59,900 in India for the base variant, and this is really a high price for the current iPhone 17 Pro Max base variant model.
It is expected to increase, which could be linked to the hardware updates planned for the device. According to several leaks it has reported that Apple might unveil the A20 Pro processor built on a 2nm manufacturing process.
The transition to more advanced processor architecture is expected to increase production costs, which might be reflected in the final retail price. Apart from the expected price rise, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is tipped to receive a larger battery. Several leaks reported that the device might pack a battery between 5,1000mAh and 5,200mAh, which is also improved. To accommodate the larger cell, this device might measure around 8.8mm in thickness and weigh more than 240g.
A larger battery combined with the efficiency improvements from the latest processor might help to deliver longer usage times between charges. iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to be powered by Apple’s latest A20 Pro processor.
Some reports claimed that the processor might deliver up to 15% faster performance while improving power efficiency by around 30% compared to the previous generation. This device is also reported to feature a 12GB RAM, which might support on-device AI features and improve multitasking performance.
