Apple’s 2026 iPhone series launch is months away, yet the rumour mill is buzzing with features and specifications. Likely to be called iPhone 18 series, it may offer three phones – iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to launch in September 2026, while the standard iPhone 18 model may launch later. Early leaks have already started revealing key details that are expected on the upcoming smartphones. As per rumours, while the design may remain similar to the current iPhone 17 series models, changes are expected in Dynamic Island. Other than this, the new models are said to come with the latest chipset and software updates. Here’s a look at expected features of iPhone 18 Pro
Apple iPhone 18 Pro design and display changes expected
According to leaks, the iPhone 18 Pro models will retain a similar design to the iPhone 17 Pro series, including a triple-camera setup at the back.
However, the front may see changes. A recent leak hinted at a smaller Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 Pro. That’s not all! Some reports also suggest that the company could test a punch-hole style cutout, though most leaks point to a reduced Dynamic Island rather than its removal. The display sizes, on the other hand, are likely to remain the same at 6.3 inches for the iPhone Pro model and 6.9 inches for the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
iPhone 18 Pro camera and performance upgrades
With the iPhone 18 Pro, Apple is said to introduce a variable aperture in the main camera, allowing users to control light and depth better. The iPhone maker is also said to be testing improved sensors and telephoto lenses for better performance in low light and zoom.On the performance side, the iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to feature Apple’s upcoming A20 chipset that is rumored to be built on a 2-nanometer process. This could bring faster performance and better efficiency.
iPhone 18 Pro battery, connectivity and launch timeline
The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to come with a larger battery, which could improve battery life further. Apple is also likely to introduce its next-generation C2 modem, which may support better 5G performance and satellite connectivity.
