New Delhi: In some reports, it has been reported that Apple is planning to offer a red colour option for its most-awaited iPhone 18 Pro models. Apple’s next-generation iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models may be offered in the latest Deep Red colour. Apple’s maiden foldable iPhone, which is expected to be introduced along with the iPhone Pro line, will not get such vibrant colour options.
The primary reason for this possible experimentation with the colours is stated to be the all-aluminium unibody. It is possible Apple might retain its Cosmic Orange colour variant, which is offered in the iPhone 17 Pro series, along with this potential Deep Red variant for the iPhone 18 Pro.
iPhone Fold might stay away from fun colours. The main logic to put forth behind this possibility is that, since this will be Apple’s first foldable iPhone, reducing the colour options would simplify the manufacturing process.
The Face ID system is reported to be moved under the display, by leaving the small front camera cutout that might sit slightly off-centre. Dynamic Island is expected to remain, but it shrink in size since it will no longer need to house the full Face ID hardware.
Apple has also suggested that it is experimenting with the variable-aperture main camera sensor. In current fixed-aperture setup, this system would physically adjust the lens by opening, and widening in low light to capture more detail and narrowing in bright scenes to better control exposure.
A wider aperture could also create more natural background blur by reducing the reliance on software-based portrait effects. Apple might also change the camera control button by removing capacitive touch input and retaining only pressure sensitivity to simplify hardware and improve usability.
