New Delhi: After releasing the iOS 26.3 release candidate (RC) build, Apple is expected to roll out its latest iOS 26.4 in the coming months. This newest update is now likely to unveil Apple’s AI-powered Siri revamp, which is built on the custom version of Google’s Gemini AI model. Along with the long-awaited revamped Siri, iOS 26.4 is expected to bring updates across the applications like Freeform, by extending AutoFill support, and it includes background changes to the services such as the Apple TV application and iCloud. The revamped assistant will be built on Apple’s latest partnership with Google for Gemini. Apple will going to use Google’s most popular AI model Gemini as the underlying technology for its foundation models, which will power next-generation Siri.
According to reports, the upgrade is expected to significantly upgrade Siri’s underlying infrastructure while also unveiling several user-facing features. These might include personal context knowledge, enabling Siri to understand better user data, on-screen awareness to react to what’s currently displayed, and the latest in-application and cross-application actions. While more advanced changes like the chatbot-style interface are stated to be planned for the upcoming latest iOS 27, iOS 26.4 is expected to deliver the core Siri upgrades.
Apple might add a fresh set of emojis in the upcoming iOS 26.4, which could include Apple Core, Ballet Dancers, Distorted Face, Fight Cloud, Hairy Creature, Landslide, Orca, Trombone, and Treasure Chest. Freeform could also now receive AI-driven enhancements or additional tools tied to Apple’s recently introduced Creator Studio. iOS 26.4 is also been expected to extend the AutoFill support. Apple is currently testing a feature that detects when users add credit cards in third-party applications and then offers to save them to iCloud Keychain.
Some reports also suggested that another possible background change in iOS 26.4 is a latest validation system, especially designed to check the device integrity before enabling access to Apple ID and iCloud. This system could restrict access to Apple’s online servers if the device is detected to have unauthorized modifications, such as jailbreaking.
