April 1 marks the 50th anniversary of Apple and the iPhone-maker is celebrating with an animated homepage. Upon visiting Apple.com, one sees a rainbow-style banner, inspired by the rainbow arches at Apple Park.
It eventually transitions to showcase Apple products such as e Macintosh, AirPods, and Apple Vision Pro, all depicted in the Picasso style it used in the 1980s for the Macintosh.
Interestingly, each animated device is drawn in different colours - green for the Macintosh and Apple Vision Pro, purple for AirPods, and yellow for the Finder. iMac, on the other hand, is shown in the range of colours it is offered in.“50 Years of Thinking Different,” the page reads, adding “At 50 years, it’s only natural to look back.
But Apple has always looked forward, building tools and delivering experiences that enrich people’s lives. As we celebrate how far we’ve come, we’re inspired by where we’ll go — together.”
