APREIS Secretary hails ZP High School in Nunna as model PM SHRI institution

The Andhra Pradesh Residential Educational Institutions Society (APREIS) Secretary and State Inspection Officer for Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) Schools, A. Krishna Mohan, made a surprise visit to the Zilla Parishad High School at Nunna in the Vijayawada rural mandal of NTR district on Tuesday (July 7, 2026). He hailed it as a model institution under the PM SHRI initiative.

Mr. Krishna Mohan reviewed the school’s infrastructure, including classrooms, laboratories and digital learning facilities and also assessed academic standards, sports infrastructure and the functioning of the NCC and Scouts and Guides units. Interacting with teachers and students, he evaluated the implementation of PM SHRI guidelines and the quality of education being provided.

He also planted a sapling on the campus and appreciated the school’s efforts in creating a vibrant and student-friendly learning environment.

During his visit, he interacted with students Matta Krishna Supriya and her brother Matta Surya, who astonished him by reciting all the elements of the Periodic Table in just 40 seconds. He congratulated the siblings for their remarkable achievement and praised the teachers for encouraging academic excellence.

Expressing satisfaction over the institution’s performance, he commended the dedication of the headmaster, teaching and non-teaching staff for maintaining high educational standards. He also appreciated the active involvement of the school’s alumni, whose continued support has contributed significantly to strengthening infrastructure and enhancing learning facilities.

Describing the school as an exemplary PM SHRI institution in Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Krishna Mohan urged the management to sustain its focus on innovative teaching methods, digital education, and value-based learning.

Samagra Shiksha Assistant Academic Monitoring Officer Ch. Sirisha, Headmaster Surapaneni Ravi Prasad, Staff Secretary P. Nageswara Rao, Alumni Association representative Narredla Satyanarayana Reddy and other officials were present during the inspection.
