Churchandpur: The 19 Garhwal Rifles of the Indian Army on Saturday inaugurated a computer training laboratory in Living Water High School at Zalenphai in Churachandpur district.The school is located in Manipur’s conflict-hit buffer area, where students and teachers have continued classes under pressure amid crossfire and gunbattles.The programme was initiated under the aegis of the Red Shield Division of Spear Corps. The laboratory was established with modern equipment and essential infrastructure to facilitate structured computer-based learning and skill development, aimed at enhancing digital literacy and improving access to modern educational resources.The facilities include six all-in-one computers, UPS systems, computer tables, chairs, printers and essential accessories, along with required infrastructure, the Army said.At the inauguration, Pankaj Rawat, CO 19 Garhwal Rifles, said, “Access to computer and digital tools open the door for knowledge beyond text books....”
