Around 60% turnout in MPPSC assistant professor exam

Indore: Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) conducted the first phase of Assistant Professor Recruitment Examination 2025 on Sunday under tight security and strict monitoring, with around 60% of registered candidates appearing for the test.The examination was conducted exclusively in Indore across 13 centres, and no cases of unfair means (UFM) were reported.A total of 5,710 candidates had registered for examinations in six subjects, including Sanskrit, Geography, Psychology, Law, Geology and Yogic Science. Candidates started arriving at examination centres as early as 8 am, nearly two hours before the first paper. Many who had travelled from outside Indore reached well in advance to avoid delays and complete the mandatory security checks.The examination was conducted in two sessions, with the General Studies paper from 10 am to 11 am and the subject-specific paper from 1 pm to 4 pm. Entry gates at all centres were closed at 9:45 am, and no candidate was permitted to enter after the deadline.Elaborate arrangements were made under the direction of Divisional Commissioner Sudam Khade to ensure the examination was conducted in a fair, transparent and peaceful manner.

Sealed question papers were transported from the treasury to all examination centres early in the morning under strict security. Police personnel, ambulances, fire brigade teams and electricity department staff were deployed at every centre to handle any emergency.MPPSC Officer on Special Duty (OSD) R. Panchbhai said the examination concluded smoothly across all centres. “The overall attendance remained around 60%, and no cases of unfair means were reported from any examination centre. The examination was conducted peacefully in accordance with the prescribed guidelines,” he said.
