Asha workers will be holding a demonstration at Gandhi Square in Mysuru as part of the three day Statewide protest from Tuesday to 14 to urge the State government to fulfill the promises made to them.
A statement by the Mysuru district committee of Karnataka State United Asha Workers’ Union, affiliated to AIUTUC, said retired professor Kalachanne Gowda will lead the dharna near Gandhi Square in Mysuru on Tuesday.
Even though seven months had passed since the State government assured to provide Asha workers a monthly honorarium of ₹10,000, the promise has remained unfulfilled, it said.
