Megha Chakraborty is being considered for the part, as she fits the evolving narrative. Discussions are currently on, and we expect the audience to gradually warm up to the change if it materialises. A final call will be taken soon.”While Megha Chakraborty remained unavailable for comment, Ashika Padukone said, “I haven’t heard anything of the sort.”Megha has been part of several popular television shows, including Badii Devrani, Krishna Chali London, Kaatelal & Sons, Imlie, and Ishani.
On the personal front, the actress married actor Sahil Phull in January last year after a year-long courtship. The two first worked together on Kaatelal & Sons, where their on-screen pairing eventually blossomed into a real-life relationship.Speaking to us after her wedding, Megha had shared, “It’s been a few weeks since I got married, and sometimes I still pinch myself to realise that I am married now. It’s a good feeling. After the wedding, I stayed in Jammu with my in-laws for around 10 days. Later, we had another reception in Kolkata, where my parents live. Sahil and I spent some time in my hometown, and we had a really good time there.”She had further added, “While I was in Jammu, I received a very warm welcome. I learnt new rituals of their household, and they too were very excited. It’s a completely new feeling for me, and I am enjoying every bit of it.”
