A total of 73 women participated in the Mysuru edition of ‘Asmita Khelo India Women’s Cycling City League 2025’ held at Chamundi foothills in the city on Sunday.
The participants competed across three categories: under-18 girls, amateur women, and elite women.
Khelo India Women’s City League, approved by the Cycling Federation of India, had been assigned to Mysuru District Amateur Cycling Association (MDACA) by the Karnataka State Cycling Association with the goal of promoting women’s participation in competitive cycling, said a statement by MDACA here.
The event, organised by MDACA, also received the support of the Sports Authority of India and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Hosted by Silicon City International School, Lalithadripura, the event was flagged off by Khelo India basketball medallist Yashaswini M.K.
Results
In the under-18 girls category, Sethu Lakshmi M.B. won the first prize, while Aradhana Santosh and Maiza Backer N.C. took second and third places, respectively.
In elite women category, Gleonna Dsouza came first, followed by Nagasiri H.N. and Karen Marshall respectively.
In the amateur women’s category, the first prize was bagged by Namratha Sreedhar. The second and third prizes were bagged by Vatsala K M and Lakshmidevi, respectively.
