Assault on women in Kochi: key accused held

The police probing the alleged assault on two young women at Kaloor have taken into custody the prime accused in the case, Ali Akbar, a native of Palakkad. He was nabbed by a team of the Kochi city police reportedly from a hideout at Cherpulasery in Palakkad district on Saturday.

With this, the police have arrested four accused in the case while six more are absconding.

The alleged assault took place around 4.30 a.m. on June 2 on Chakkalapadam Road at Kaloor.
