Assembly Elections 2026 Live Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address his first rally in West Bengal at the Raas Mela Ground in Cooch Behar on Sunday at around 3 pm, according to party sources. This will be the fourth occasion that the Prime Minister will hold a public meeting at the venue.

Polling for the West Bengal Assembly elections will take place in phases, with voting in 152 constituencies in the first phase on April 23. The second phase will see polling in 142 constituencies on April 29.

The Election Commission of India has scheduled Assembly elections in Assam, Kerala and Puducherry in a single phase on April 9, while Tamil Nadu will go to the polls on April 23. The counting of votes will take place on May 4.
